Year 1415, John de Flavvle taken prisoner at Agincourt.

Year 1621, November, The small ship "Fortune" with Thomas Flavel and son aboard, arrived at Plymouth Colony in the New World, this vessel being the next ship to arrive there after the "Mayflower".

In 1623, Elizabeth (Goodwife) Flavel, wife of the above named Thomas, arrived on Plymouth colony on board the small ship "Ann".

All three Flavels were allotted land in that year of 1623 .

John Flavel, baptised at Bromsgrove in 1630 , son of the Curate Richard Flavel. John Flavell, later became the eminent divine, non-conformist preacher and rector at Dartmouth . He was thus persecuted for much of his life, just as his father before him.

Year 1681. Richard Flavell whipped in the Market Place, 'till his body be bloody', sentenced to death for stealing a lamb, reprieved on condition of transportation to the American Colonies for life.

Thomas Favell served in the 'Royal Navy' from Midshipman to Commander. He was in the year 1809 Masters Mate on the "Barfleur 98", commanded by Sir Thomas Masterman Hardy of Lord Nelson's 'Kiss me Hardy' fame.

Year 1642, Mary Favell (sic) being 16 years of age, wife of Richard Flavell, was presented for recusancy at Warwick. (note name spellings).
